Workshops on AnIML and LabWare

We're hosting two workshops at the conference about instrument integration, data integrity, compliance and long term archival.

Session 1: AnIML for LIMS instrument connectivity and data integrity

The ASTM subcommittee E13.15 is driving a cross-industry effort to standardize a universal data format for analytical chemistry data. The resulting Analytical Information Markup Language (AnIML) Data Standard defines an XML-based format for documentation of laboratory experiments and their results. It is suitable for a wide range of analytical measurement techniques. This session explores the new LabWare functionality for using AnIML for instrument integration. It also discusses how using AnIML can improve data integrity.

Session 2: AnIML for compliance and long-term archival

Learn about how open standard data formats such as AnIML can be a part of your long-term data retention strategy. This session focussed on reducing total cost of ownership and increasing compliance by minimizing the dependency on proprietary software, and reducing the number of software tools to deploy and maintain. A case study reviews an example of making a common vendor software package AnIML-compatible, which is the result of a collaboration between BSSN Software (AnIML), SCIEX (Analyst) and representatives of several Pharma companies and CROs. This shows how instrument and software vendors are picking up the importance of long term e-data readability and exchangeability.
